If you have a mole that you would like to get rid of there are a number of different alternatives to try, the dermatologist can offer you many different alternatives however these alternatives can be costly and invasive. If you want to get rid of moles without the cost or risk of surgery you may wish to consider trying some of the many home remedies that are available for moles. While not all of these remedies may work for all people they are all safe and non toxic so you have little to lose by at least making the effort.

It is important to note that some moles can be cancerous so you should always have suspicious moles checked by a professional before you do anything. Any mole that is not symmetrical, has ragged edges, is multi colored or raised from the skin should be checked by a dermatologist to ensure that it is not cancer.

Once you have determined that your mole is benign then it is safe to try any of the powerful home remedies that have been recommend to get rid of moles. Keep in mind these remedies may take several days to several weeks and require you to be consistent when applying them, if you only do it once in a while or for a shorter period of time than recommended you will most likely be disappointed with the results.

1) Apple Cider Vinegar – One of the number one remedies used for removing moles naturally, you will need to apply the vinegar to your mole every day once in the morning and once again in the evening. This process can take a couple of weeks to be effective, be patient and your mole will eventually dry up and go away. Be sure to wash your face with soap and water before applying the vinegar and make sure that you apply the vinegar liberally to the mole; it can also help to cover the mole with a band aid especially overnight.

2) Onions – Onions are a very popular way to reduce or remove moles, and are an old folk remedy that has been used for centuries as a juice for this purpose. The most effective way to try this remedy is to crush up a quarter cup of raw onion into a pulp and add a half teaspoon of rock salt to it. Mix well and apply to your moles, you will want to do this in the evening before bed and cover the moles with band aids once you have applied the mixture.

3) Sour Apples – the juice of sour apples is another remedy that many people have had good success with, you will need to apply this mixture three times a day for around three weeks, if you are not consistent however this remedy will not work, so be sure that you do not miss.

There are several powerful remedies that can be used at home to get rid of moles, many of these recipes have been used for hundreds of years before modern medicine and have been proven over time to be effective, gentle and easy to use.

Sometimes you will find that some moles disappear with age while certain others remain and turn out as permanent marks on your skin.

So if you are suffering from loss of confidence because of unsightly moles around your face which are not at all attractive, then it is time to do some research and find some remedies.

One such remedy you can try is to extract the juice of sour apples and apply this mixture on the mole three times a day for around three weeks. Once you start don’t stop. If you continue regularly, you will find that the mole will have turned much, much dimmer by the end of the third week.

Another highly effective home remedy is applying the juice of an onion once a day for several weeks on the mole. This can also help to eliminate moles.

Take a pinch of baking soda with a little bit of castor oil and dab this paste on to the area where the mole is present and leave it overnight. Do this continuously for several days..

You can make use of drumstick pods by grinding these finely to a smooth paste like mixture and then add fresh lemon extract to it. When this is done, you can add this paste to the area of the mole on a regular basis. Slowly, the mole will fade off.

Another home remedy that is recommended is using dandelion roots. First of all, you have to cut the root of a dandelion plant. Then rub this root on to the mole till it’s milky like juice seeps out and covers the mole completely. If you do this at least once every day for several weeks, you may find that it will eliminate it.

This is a really common question – you don’t like your moles, want to get rid of them but just the thought of surgery puts you off. Yet it is hard to find good information about the many preparations that you can use at home.

Before I try to answer this question, let me make this point – it is very important that at some stage you have your moles checked by your doctor. If they are all harmless, normal moles you have many removal options open to you. However if some of your moles are suspect or, worse, melanomas you will have no sensible choice other than to have them surgically removed. Untreated melanoma, or melanoma treated at home on the assumption that it is just a mole, is a death sentence in almost all cases.

But in most cases your moles will be normal, so read on.

Mole removal – natural topical stuff – does it work?

Has anyone used natural stuff for mole removal, etc?? I have a few I’d like to get rid of, but scared of surgery. Doe the natural stuff (like Bloodroot….DermaTend, etc really work?)

Any suggestions, recommendations?

I am not a doctor but I have done a fair bit of research on this topic, and the answer to your question is that, fortunately, many natural mole removal treatments do in fact work.

Some, like DermaTend and Wart Mole Vanish, rely on some rather powerful caustic plant extracts and start acting on the mole very quickly. The key to successful, scar free removal with products like these is to follow the instructions as closely as you can, and be very strong and don’t pick at or even play with the scab which will form.

The next group uses milder ingredients which require regular treatment of the mole – say every three hours or so. They include the castor oil and baking soda, or vinegar and baking soda treatments. They may take a little longer to work than the DermaTend group, require more effort by you, but are less likely to cause any pain or result in any skin damage. Again the real key is to leave the scab alone.

Then there are a heap of other remedies, based on all sorts of things from plant oils to iodine or hydrogen peroxide. Most of these are usually applied to warts, but seem to work on moles as well. They can take a long time to work, and they may not suit everyone. The real problem with them is not necdessarily their effectiveness – it’s more that the treatment may take weeks before it is successful. They do tend to be very inexpensive though.

So it really gets back to how long you are prepared to work on your mole. And given that we all like fast results, it would be a good idea to try something from the first two groups.

You can find reviews of DermaTend and Wart Mole Vanish elsewhere in this blog, and the following link will take you to an example of a gentler method.

Most people have a mole or two - some have lots. But just what are moles, and how and when do they grow? What is the connection between moles and skin cancer? What are the best ways of getting rid of them? Many of your questions will be answered in this article

Moles come in several forms, but, most simply, they are just a collection of colored skin cells which may be flat or raised. They can form at any age and on any part of the body. Some disappear all by themselves, others may be with you for life. Almost all of us have one or more.

Mole formation

Moles can form at any age, although childhood is the most common time. Other times when moles may appear are when the body is undergoing hormonal changes, such as during puberty and pregnancy. These moles are more likely to disappear when things return to normal.

Moles usually form between the outer skin layers, the epidermis and the dermis. These are the common brown or pink moles. Others may form a little deeper within the dermis, and these may have a bluish tinge to them. The color depends on how dense the pigmented cells, or melanocytes are. Black moles have very strong and dense coloration.

Common or Benign Moles

Most moles are benign and don’t need any specific treatment, although you should always keep an eye on them in case they start to change, which is a warning sign.

Typical moles are harmless, and may be raised or flat. They usually have the form of circles or ovals, with smooth borders. They include forms such as the halo nevus which is a normal mole with a white ring or halo around it. (Nevus is the medical term for a mole. If you have more than one they are called nevi)

Halo nevi commonly occur in children and teenagers, and like many things that happen during growth, may disappear with age.

Terms such as facial moles only tell us where the moles are – there is no difference between a facial mole and one on your arm or leg, although because it is so easy to see, more care should be taken with its removal to prevent scarring.

Atypical or suspicious moles

Atypical moles are often larger than normal moles, may have an irregular non symmetrical shape, may have an indistinct or irregular edge, and might have more than one color. While not usually cancerous, they are more likely to become so than normal moles, and should be checked regularly. Another name for them is dysplastic moles or nevi.

If you notice any changes in these or any other moles, such as changes in size, shape, color or if they become irritable or bleed, get them checked by a dermatologist or experienced doctor. In most cases your doctor will recommend that they be removed, usually by a small surgical operation. If left untreated there is a real risk that they could turn into a malignant melanoma, and an untreated melanoma is almost certainly fatal.

Living with Moles

Most moles are harmless and will stay with you for many years, maybe even your lifetime. If they are not ugly or in the way, there is no reason to remove them. Of course, if you are unhappy with them there’s no reason to keep them either.

Benign moles can change with age and exposure to sunlight. They may become darker or lighter, and may even grow a few long hairs. Sunlight and tanning beds are both known to cause moles to become cancerous, so if you are in any doubt visit your doctor or dermatologist.

Moles which have changed rapidly – over a period of weeks or months – should be checked and your dermatologist will probably recommend their removal. They will be checked by a pathologist for cancerous cells and further treatment will be based on the results of those tests.

In most cases the mole will be harmless and nothing more need be done. Moles removed by incision rarely return.

Ways of Treating or Removing Common Moles

Benign moles can be surgically removed – there are a number of simple techniques that usually don’t involve much pain or scarring – or you can do it yourself using an over the counter or home made preparation which will be about as effective as most forms of surgery.

And, provided you are absolutely sure you are dealing with normal moles, there are lots of non surgical treatments you could consider – anything from over the counter creams and ointments to a variety of natural mole removal remedies you can try at home.

Here’s where you can find out about one of the best Mole Removal Treatments that you can use at home. Provided you follow the directions, it’s effective, painless, safe and won’t leave you with scars. Best of all it costs very little.

Please see your doctor or dermatologist about any questions that arise from this article, or for clarification of any information.
One of the common methods of mole removal uses liquid nitrogen to destroy them by freezing. It is best done by a doctor or dermatologist, and while quick and simple it can involve a short period of sharp pain. There's plenty of info on the whole procedure in this article

Here’s another article on mole removal techniques, this time dealing with freezing or cryotherapy. It’s one that’s good enough to run here, at least until I can repalce it with something that’s a bit closer to reality.

To be really effective, liquid nitrogen should be used to freeze moles (and warts and skin tags), although there are commercial preparations which do something similar but at a higher (less cold) temperature. They are probably OK for very small warts and moles, and make sure you only try them on harmless moles that have been checked by your doctor. And forget about the suggestion at the end about DIY use of liquid nitrogen – even if you can find it. You could do some serious damage with it.

Whenever I have had skin blemishes removed by freezing, my doctor warns me that it will make my eyes water, and he’s right. It doesn’t last long, and you recover quickly, but a local anesthetic is a good idea if you don’t fancy the thought of some genuine pain.

Removing Moles By Freezing – Mole Removal Using Liquid Nitrogen

The Latin for “mole” is “nevus”, “nevi” in plural. People will consider having a mole removed if it is in a conspicuous place. Some people find others looking at it when they speak, and the stares of strangers are a hard burden to carry. If the mole has become a malignant melanoma, there is no choice involved, and it must be removed. Moles can also be problematic if they become irritated, for instance by the friction of clothing.

Cryotherapy is the application of low temperature in a medical setting, and can be used to remove moles. The same method can be used on other skin growths like warts. This method has existed for more than a hundred years. Local anesthesia will be given prior to the procedure.

For benign conditions, liquid nitrogen is applied to a cotton swab which is in turn applied to the mole, destroying its cells. On some sizes of mole, a 30 second spray of liquid nitrogen or argon can also be used. Cryotherapy may not work upon moles with deep roots, below several layers of skin. The nitrogen causes cellular dehydration of outer skin cells and forms ice inside the cells, resulting in the death of cells.

The New York Dermatology Group says cryotherapy is only slightly painful, producing a slight sting that is less painful than laser surgery. Over-the-counter painkillers can be administered in this event. The treated area should be washed twice a day until it has healed, usually taking 10-15 days.

Within two or three days the mole will become puffy and red and a blister will form. The blister does not signify infection, and will fall off in less than two weeks. Typically, no scar will remain, however this is a possibility, but any scar will be small compared to those that result from surgical mole removal.

After treatment, the area of the mole should be kept covered to avoid infection. It should not be touched, and certainly not picked. The blister is a natural part of the healing process and it should not be disturbed. If the blister does not dry out or scab within five days, a doctor should be consulted.

The color of skin changes after removal of a mole in this fashion. The treated area could develop spots that are lighter or darker than the surrounding skin. Skin can also take on a different texture, becoming flatter and smoother. In extremity, nerve damage can occur if nerves are close to the skin’s surface.

Cryotherapy is not as invasive or expensive as other mole removal methods, healing is faster and there is less scarring. No stitches are required. It takes less than three hours, making it an outpatient procedure.

Legend speaks of people who have performed this treatment at home. A local welding company is likely to have liquid nitrogen to hand. If the nitrogen isn’t given away, it costs less than ten dollars. A cream like Neosporin can be used to prevent scarring.

Marie-Anne Ellery is the owner of RemoveMolesYourself.com, a site which teaches how to remove moles naturally yourself. She also wrote a free report “How to Get Rid of Moles without surgery, scars or side-effects!”. Get the FREE report Now!

I guess the good points outweigh the bad. One other point – if you only have one or two moles the whole freezing procedure need only take a minute or two – certainly not the three hours Marie mentions. It would take a little longer if you decided not to tough it out and take advantage of a local anesthetic.

But if that all sound a little off putting, and you are sure that your moles are common harmless forms (ask your doctor to check them out), there are quite a few Home Mole Removal Treatments that are safe, effective, and painless. The link will take you to one which a lot of people have had success with.

As you will have noticed, I occasionally drag in a few articles written by others where I think they might increase the information slowly accumulating at this blog. I puzzled over this one for a while, because it doesn’t quite ring true. But you can make up your own mind about that.

What’s good about it is that it describes quite a few natural mole and wart removal treatments in the one place, so until I do a bit more work on them myself they can stay here. Hope they help.

Natural Mole Removal Techniques

If you have spent 100′s of $$$s trying to get rid of your moles through magic creams and lotions with no success, you know what it does to your self esteem and your confidence. I spent a fortune trying all the miracle potions that claimed to be able to remove my moles but; alas, no “magical” success was forthcoming for me. In fact, I noticed that my skin deteriorated even further with the side effects of these creams and lotions.

Desolate and gloomy, I spent the last 6 months researching for alternate home remedies that could help me get rid of these moles – I had 12 in total and 2 of those were on my face, I felt very self conscious. Surgery was another option, but I wanted to use this as a last resort as surgery techniques often result in scarring not to mention the high cost involved and possible side effects. In contrast, home remedies are affordable and have no side effects.

Following are some natural mole removal techniques that I tried and found to be beneficial:

Flaxseed and honey: Grind some flaxseed into powder form and prepare a paste out of it by using flaxseed oil and honey. Apply this paste to the skin moles for three times a day.

Banyan milk: Through my research, I discovered that milk juice obtained from the trunk of a banyan tree has traditionally been used for removing skin moles. Apply the juice three times daily.

Castor oil and baking power mixture: Mix equal quantities of castor oil and baking powder, mix for a few minutes and apply the mixture to the moles by using a cotton swab before going to bed and keep it overnight.

Radish paste: Grind radish, until it becomes a fine paste. Apply the paste to the affected skin, twice daily.

Onion and garlic paste: Another effective method of removing skin moles that I found was using a mash of onion and garlic and applying to the mole. Smelt terrible but worked!

Dandelion juice: Dandelion roots are used effectively to get rid of warty moles. If you cut the dandelion roota, you are able to extract the juice more easily.

Pineapple / fig / grapefruit / apple juice: I discovered that any of these juices if applied 3-4 times a day to my moles got me a result.

Cumin seed paste: Take some cumin seeds and grind them to prepare paste. This paste gives a slight burning sensation when applied to the mole.

Pomegranate potion: Roast a few pomegranate peels for 5 minutes and grind them. Add some lime juice to create a sticky mixture and apply this mixture twice a day to your mole.

I saw results within three weeks of my experimenting with these natural mole removal techniques. It is always better to use natural remedies for skin care, rather than applying chemical products but always be sure to consult with your doctor first

Article Source:http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Victoria_Mills

As far as I know, most of these have some potential if you’re patient. Missing is the widely used apple cider vinegar, which again should be applied several times a day and left on overnight.

If you have had any success with these or other natural remedies please let me know through the comments section.

Victoria mentions the castor oil and baking soda treatment, which has a good success record. This is described in detail in Charles Davidson’s report (which she also mentions).

Here is an interesting article about one of the many natural treatments you could use to remove your moles. As the author says, not all natural remedies work for everybody, and you may need to experiment to find the one that’s best for you. You should be able to find grape seed oil or extract at your health store, or a supplier of aromatherapy and massage products. Make sure it is pure.

Grapeseed extract is made of the components (bioflavonoids) removed from the seed of a grape, just what the name indicates. Grapeseed extract or oils are well known for their antioxidant properties, particularly a polyphenol called resveratrol. Resveratrol is known for its ability to fight cancer.

This extract is thought to reverse and inhibit virus production in the body too. It has been used for high blood pressure, to treat HIV/AIDS infections, heart disease, tooth decay, skin cancer, and more. The benefits of grapeseed extract are many.

If you’re looking for an all natural mole removal method the use of this natural extract is one of the most popular methods. This bioflavonoid is also revered for its ability to protect and strengthen skin and body tissues.

When choosing grapeseed extract to use for mole removal select a product that is pure; free of additives, colors, or preservatives. Be sure there are no fillers added and that you are getting the purest grapeseed oil on the market.

To use grapeseed extract for all natural mole removal follow the following steps:

Clean the mole with warm water and soap.

Have clean hands and fingers or a sterilized applicator tool to use.

Apply a drop of the oil to the mole.

Cover with a Band-Aid.

Repeat twice a day.

The mole should turn white and fall off within one week’s time. There are no side effects associated with using grapeseed extract topically. However it is quite acidic so it may be wise to test an area of skin before using it. If you have sensitive skin consider apply a small amount of Vaseline around the mole before using the grapeseed extract to prevent possible irritation.

There are a host of all natural mole removal methods to use to get rid of an unwanted mole. Some work for one person while other methods work for the next person. Do research and see what works for you. If one all natural method doesn’t work try another.
